Why this works
=B2*C2 multiplies 3 by 25 and gives 75. The star is Excel's multiplication sign; there's no x key for it.
Common mistake: Writing x for multiply, like =B2xC2. Excel only accepts the star, =B2*C2.
The answer
- D2
=B2*C2
Use the star. =B2*C2 multiplies the value in B2 by the value in C2.
