Why this works
=B2+B3 reads the two prices from their cells and adds them. Change 28 to 30 in B3 and the total in B4 changes to 62 without you touching the formula.
Common mistake: Typing the answer, =60, or the numbers, =32+28. It looks right today, but the total won't follow when a price changes.
The answer
- B4
=B2+B3
Type = followed by the two cell addresses with a plus between them, like =B2+B3, and press Enter.
