Terms of Service

1. About us

PracticeExcel (practiceexcelonline.com) is run by Komputer Club, Danish company registration (CVR) number 34921504, Ejler Billes Allé 11, 2. 3, 2300 København S, Denmark. You can always reach us at hey@practiceexcelonline.com.

These terms apply when you use the site, create an account or buy Premium. The Danish edition, ExcelOpgaver (excelopgaver.dk), is the same service with the same account.

2. The service

PracticeExcel is interactive Excel and Google Sheets practice, graded instantly. Some lessons are free and work without an account. Premium gives you every lesson, timed practice tests and certificates. The pricing page lists what's included.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 13 to create an account. If you are under 18, you need a parent's permission before buying Premium.
  • Your account is personal. Don't share it, and keep your password to yourself.
  • Use your real name if you want certificates, since it appears on them.
  • You can have your account deleted at any time by emailing us.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are on the pricing page. You can choose a subscription billed monthly or yearly. Any sales tax or VAT is shown at checkout.

Premium is sold by our reseller Polar Software, Inc. ("Polar"), which acts as merchant of record. That means Polar handles the sale itself: it takes your payment, sends your receipt and handles sales tax. When you buy, you also accept Polar's buyer terms. We provide the service and are responsible for everything else, including the money-back guarantee in section 6. You can pay with any method Polar's checkout offers.

5. Renewal and canceling

  • Your subscription renews automatically for another period of the same length, a month or a year, until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time under Account → Manage billing. Canceling takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for, and you keep Premium until then.
  • If we raise the price, we'll email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you, so you have time to cancel.

6. Money-back guarantee

If PracticeExcel isn't for you, you get a 100% refund, for any reason. Email hey@practiceexcelonline.com within 14 days of a payment, and we'll refund that payment in full. The guarantee covers your first purchase and every renewal.

The money goes back through Polar to the payment method you used, usually within 5-10 business days. Your Premium access ends when the payment is refunded.

7. Right of withdrawal (EU and UK)

If you live in the EU or the UK, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you buy. To withdraw, email hey@practiceexcelonline.com and tell us you are withdrawing from the purchase. No form is needed.

Our money-back guarantee in section 6 goes further than the right of withdrawal: you get the full amount back even if you've used Premium.

8. Using the site

You may use PracticeExcel for your own learning. You may not:

  • copy, sell or publish our lessons, tests, explanations or guides in bulk
  • download content automatically (scraping) or put unreasonable load on the site
  • get around the paywall, share Premium access or try to get the tests' solutions
  • cheat on tests or let someone else take a test for you

We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we close your account without a serious breach on your part, we'll refund the unused part of the period you've paid for.

9. Certificates

A certificate shows that you completed a topic or passed a test on PracticeExcel. It is not an official certification from Microsoft or Google, and we can't promise that an employer will value it. If a certificate was earned by cheating, we may revoke it, and its page will show that it is no longer valid.

10. Content and ownership

The lessons, tests, text, design and code behind PracticeExcel belong to us. The formulas you type are yours. We use them to grade your answers and, in a form that can't be traced back to you, to improve the lessons.

11. Changes to the service

We keep improving PracticeExcel, and lessons may be changed, moved or replaced. We do our best to keep the site running but can't promise it will never be down. If we remove a significant part of Premium, you can cancel right away and get a refund for the unused part of your period.

12. Liability

The lessons are for practice. We are not liable for decisions you make based on them, or for indirect losses. Our total liability to you is limited to what you've paid us in the last 12 months. This doesn't apply where the law doesn't allow such a limit, and it doesn't reduce your rights as a consumer.

13. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant for account holders, we'll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don't agree with the new terms, you can cancel your subscription before then.

14. Complaints and governing law

If you're unhappy, email us first and we'll work it out. These terms are governed by Danish law. If you are a consumer, you always keep the protection the law of your own country gives you, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live. Consumers in the EU can get free help with a cross-border complaint from the European Consumer Centre in their country.
