Recalculate all open workbooks

Windows
F9
Mac
Fn+F9

Recalculates every formula in every open workbook. You need it only when calculation is set to Manual under Formulas > Calculation Options, or to get new values from RAND and RANDBETWEEN.

While you are editing a formula, F9 instead replaces the selected part with its result, which is a handy way to check one piece of a long formula. Press Esc afterward so you don't keep the change.
