The MEDIAN function

Returns the middle value of a set of numbers. With an even count it averages the two in the middle.

Syntax

MEDIAN(number1, [number2], ...)

number1: The first number, cell or range.
number2 (optional): More numbers or ranges.

Examples

E1=MEDIAN(C2:C6)

	A	B	C	D	E
1	Region	Product	Sales		300
2	North	Shoes	500
3	South	Shoes	300
4	North	Bags	250
5	North	Shoes	420
6	South	Bags	180

B1=MEDIAN(1,2,3,10)

	A	B
1		2.5
