# **VLOOKUP practice in Google Sheets**

VLOOKUP looks up a value in the first column of a table and returns a value from another column. Google Sheets calls the last argument is\_sorted, but it works as in Excel: FALSE for an exact match, and TRUE or left out for the nearest smaller value in a sorted column.
