# **JOIN in Google Sheets**

Joins the values of a row or column into one text, with a delimiter between them.

## **Syntax**

```
JOIN(delimiter, value1, [value2], ...)
```

<dl><dt>**delimiter **</dt>
<dd>The text between the values, such as ", ".</dd>
<dt>**value1 **</dt>
<dd>A value, or a range of one row or one column.</dd>
<dt>**value2 **(optional)</dt>
<dd>More values or ranges.</dd></dl>

## **Examples**

C1`=JOIN(<sup>1</sup>", ",<sup>2</sup>A2:A4)`

**In plain words:** Join <sup>2</sup>the tags in A2:A4 with <sup>1</sup>a comma and a space between them.
