<summary>

### Why is STDEV.P smaller than STDEV.S on the same data?

STDEV.P divides by the number of values, STDEV.S by one less. The difference is large for a handful of values and shrinks as the data grows.

</details>

<details>

<summary>

### Is STDEV.P the same as STDEVP?

</summary>

Yes. STDEVP is the older name and gives the same result.
