# **The SMALL function**

Returns the k-th smallest value in a range: k = 1 is the minimum.

## **Syntax**

```
SMALL(array, k)
```

<dl><dt>**array **</dt>
<dd>The range of numbers.</dd>
<dt>**k **</dt>
<dd>The position from the bottom.</dd></dl>

## **Examples**

E1`=SMALL(<sup>1</sup>C2:C6,<sup>2</sup>1)`

**In plain words:** Return <sup>2</sup>the smallest of <sup>1</sup>the sales in C2:C6.
