# **The ROUNDUP function**

Rounds a number up, away from zero, to a given number of decimals.

## **Syntax**

```
ROUNDUP(number, num_digits)
```

<dl><dt>**number **</dt>
<dd>The number to round up.</dd>
<dt>**num_digits **</dt>
<dd>Decimals to keep; 0 rounds up to a whole number.</dd></dl>

## **Examples**

B1`=ROUNDUP(<sup>1</sup>3.141,<sup>2</sup>2)`

**In plain words:** Round <sup>1</sup>3.141 up to <sup>2</sup>2 decimal places.
