# **The RANDBETWEEN function**

Returns a random whole number between a bottom and a top number, both included. It changes every time the sheet recalculates.

## **Syntax**

```
RANDBETWEEN(bottom, top)
```

<dl><dt>**bottom **</dt>
<dd>The smallest number it can return.</dd>
<dt>**top **</dt>
<dd>The largest number it can return.</dd></dl>
