# **The NETWORKDAYS function**

Counts the working days (Monday to Friday) between two dates, both included, minus any holidays you list.

## **Syntax**

```
NETWORKDAYS(start_date, end_date, [holidays])
```

<dl><dt>**start_date **</dt>
<dd>The first date.</dd>
<dt>**end_date **</dt>
<dd>The last date.</dd>
<dt>**holidays **(optional)</dt>
<dd>Dates to leave out, such as public holidays.</dd></dl>

## **Examples**

B1`=NETWORKDAYS(<sup>1</sup>DATE(2024,3,1),<sup>2</sup>DATE(2024,3,31))`
