# **The HOUR function**

Returns the hour of a time as a number from 0 to 23. Times are fractions of a day, so 0.75 is 6:00 PM and HOUR(0.75) is 18.

HOUR(serial_number)
```

<dd>The time, or date and time, to take the hour from.</dd></dl>

B1=HOUR(TIME(14,30,0))
